Force Gurkha 5-Door Revealed, Gets New Features & More Powerful Engine

Force Motors has unveiled the much-awaited Gurkha 5-Door along with the updated 3-Door Gurkha. This marks the return of Gurkha after a year due to the non-compliance of the BS-6 phase 2 norms. Now, the new Gurkha complies with all the norms and is unveiled in the 5-door & 3-door variants. The pricing of the SUVs will be announced in the first week of May and the bookings can be done at Rs 25,000. The deliveries will start from mid-May. Read details of the new Force Gurkha below. 2024 Force Gurkha - Exterior

The new Force Gurkha boasts a similar boxy design language as we've seen on the 3-door version. Both the 3-door and 5-door version comes with similar design language, the only differentiator between these two is the extended wheelbase and two additional doors in the 5-door version.

The 5-door version gets a wheelbase of 2,825 mm and it is 425 mm longer than the 3-door version. On the design front, both versions get circular LED DRLs and LED headlamps, a two-slat grille, and Gurkha badging on the grille. Both SUVs get a water-wading capacity of 700mm with the help of the standard snorkel, 233mm ground clearance, 35-degree gradability, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

2024 Force Gurkha - Interior & Features

The Gurkha now comes with more modern features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, tilt & telescopic steering, fully locking mechanical differential on both axles, electronic shift-on-fly 4WD knob. It also has more safety features such as TPMS, rear parking camera with sensors, front dual airbags, ABS, EBD, and cornering lamps, among other features.

The 5-door version gets a three-row seating layout with a bench seat in the middle row and two front-facing captain seats in the third row.

2024 Force Gurkha Engine Specifications

The Force Gurkha is now powered by a more powerful 2.6-litre diesel engine. It produces 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a single 5-speed manual transmission and comes with an idle start and stop feature for better fuel efficiency.
