Hero MotoCorp recently launched a new variant of its famous ADV bike in India. The 2022 Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition was launched on 22 July with new cosmetic and technical changes. Well, if you are planning to buy it you will have to wait now because all of the destined units of the Rally Edition have sold out as per Hero.
The Xpulse is already a very established motorcycle in the Indian market. The combination of great off-road hardware mixed with a responsive & fuel-efficient engine makes it a great deal for the buyers. To lure the customers looking for something more, the Rally Edition was introduced.
The limited edition of the Xpulse endorsed some cosmetic and technical changes to the bike. For visuals, it features the Rally Kit which is also available for the regular Xpulse models as an option. Additionally, the paint scheme is inspired by Hero's Dakar Rally ADV bikes. It has the Rally Code graphics on the fuel tank & also features an autograph from CS Santosh (vivid Dakar Rally Indian racer).
Technically, Hero has updated its suspension with longer & fully-adjustable telescopic forks. The travel of these forks has now increased to 250 mm. This means that tackling the off-road slush will be even more fun on the Rally Edition. However, the engine unit is the same 200cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled system. This produces a peak power output of 18.9 hp & 17.35 Nm of peak torque along with. The power is mated via a 5-speed gearbox.
The Rally Edition of the Xpulse is priced at Rs 1,52,100 ex-showroom in India. Just for context, the standard Xpulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,36,033 across India. Also, the buyers who opt for the regular variant can buy the Rally Kit which is priced at Rs 46,000.
Hero claims that all of the units of the Rally Edition sold out within 7 days. The sale of the Rally Edition took place via Hero's online sales outlet i.e. the eSHOP. The number of the limited edition bikes is still unknown as Hero has not let out this info yet.
