After revealing the Inster Electric SUV earlier this year, Hyundai has now introduced an Adventure version of the electric SUV- the Inster Cross. The newly introduced Inster Cross gets a revised adventure-focused design and off-road features, meanwhile the mechanicals on offer remain the same as the Inster EV. Hyundai Inster Cross Electric SUV

The Hyundai Inster Cross E-SUV's production will begin in late 2025 at the Hyundai's Korean based production facility. The Inster Cross is made for people who want to own a sustainable yet adventure centric vehicle. The Cross E-SUV is based on the same platform as the Inster SUV. It will be differentiated with its robust, tough and rugged design language. It will get different front and rear bumper and many other new design elements not present in the Inster EV. The Inster Cross derives the same FWD configuration on offer with the Inster EV.

Hyundai Inster Cross: Design

The Hyundai Inster Cross will be available with the same paint schemes as the Inster EV. These options include Unbleached Ivory, Abyss Black Pearl, Tomboy khaki, Atlas White and Aero Silver Matte while the signature colour for the Inster Cross EV will be Amazonas Green Matte. Some of the above mentioned colour are available in dual tone options as well.

As mentioned above, the Inster Cross will have some major design changes to enhance its off-road capabilities. These design elements will include 17 inch alloy wheels, new front and rear bumper, side skirt, roof rack and blacked out cladding as well.

Hyundai Inster Cross: Interior and Features

The Inster Cross E-SUV will get sole interior theme- Grey and lime yellow. While front seats are bench type, the rear ones are 50:50 split with recline feature. The E-SUV will get a bootspace of 280-351 litres, depending on the variant and configuration.

On the feature front, the Inster Cross will get dual 10.25 inch display and a muti-function steering wheel. Other features include ADAS system which will offer features such as Forward-collision Avoidance, Adaptive Cruise Control, Smart Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking System and others.

Hyundai Inster Cross: Powertrain

The Inster Cross E-SUV will get both long range and standard electric powertrains on offer with its standard version. While the standard variant will have a 42 kWh battery, generating 95 hp, the long range ones will get a 49 kWh battery, making 113 hp. The Inster Cross's long range variant will provide a WLTP range of 359 km/charge. Additionally, the E-SUV will support fast charging of up to 120 kWh, topping up the battery pack in 30 minutes.

Hyundai Inster Cross: India Bound?

For now, the company has announced that the Inster Cross will mark its presence in some major markets- Middle East, Europe and Asia Pacific. While the information about the launch of Inster Cross E-SUV is scarce. We can surely expect the presence of its standard version- Inster EV in our market sometime after the launch of the upcoming Creta EV.
