Jeep Compass 4X2 Diesel Automatic Launched At Rs 23.99 Lakh - Read Details

Jeep India has introduced a fresh iteration of the Compass model, featuring a 4X2 drivetrain coupled with a diesel engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The starting price for the new Jeep Compass 4X2 diesel automatic is Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This adjustment in Jeep's product range renders the Compass automatic transmission option more cost-effective by 20%, equating to a reduction of nearly 6 lakhs. The brand has also launched a new BlackShark edition of the Compass.

MY24 Jeep Compass

The MY24 Compass will also showcase a redesigned grille and fresh alloy wheels. Furthermore, the renowned SUV brand is introducing a sophisticated BlackShark edition with an all-black interior featuring Ignite red accents. The addition of a glossy black grille, lower fascia, flares, and cladding, along with the striking Gloss Black 18-inch wheels, elevates the Compass BlackShark to an entirely new level.

The Compass offers a range of advanced technologies, including an optional 10.25-inch frameless full-color TFT digital cluster  one of the largest in its segment, a standard 10.1-inch digital infotainment touchscreen, the new Uconnect 5 system, which is five times faster and features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as a wireless charging pad.

To enhance safety, the MY24 Compass provides improved engagement and shorter stopping distances. Exclusive to its segment, the Compass incorporates a suite of features, including Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), Electronic Brake Prefill (EBP), Electronic Roll-over Mitigation (ERM), and Rain Brake Assist (RBA), all working in harmony to assist in preserving vehicle control during emergency braking situations.

Jeep Compass now offers re-tuned, fully independent suspension system, featuring a segment-exclusive frequency damping front-and-rear-strut setup. Additionally, a suite of Advanced Chassis Control Technologies collaborates to provide superior on-road driving dynamics. The inclusion of Frequency Selective Damper (FSD) and Hydraulic Rebound Stopped (HRS) systems effectively absorbs road imperfections, resulting in an overall ride comfort improvement of 0.5 SAE units compared to conventional dampers.

MY24 Jeep Engine & Variants

The MY24 Jeep Compass is equipped with a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, delivering a power rating of 170 bhp and torque of 350 Nm. This engine is paired with a highly efficient nine-speed automatic transmission, enhancing both city and highway driving experiences. Additionally, it offers a 6-speed manual transmission for those who prefer manual control.
