Jeep Compass is one of India's most capable and feature-packed SUVs. In India, the American company offers this SUV in four different trim levels. Each trim has its own set of features. The Jeep Compass's base trim is named Sport, and it is the brand's entry-level trim in India. The Compass Sport is available with two engine options: a 1.4 litre Multijet Petrol engine and a 7-speed DDCT transmission. Another option is a 2.0-liter Multijet diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine produces 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of peak torque. Also, being a base model having an automatic transmission is a great deal with the Compass Sport.

Exterior and Interior Features

The Jeep Compass base model comes with a long list of standard equipment. The Compass Sport comes standard with body-colored door handles, a shark fin antenna, a rear spoiler, LED DRLs along with LED reflector headlights, turn indicators on the side mirrors, remote keyless entry, and Jeep's trademark seven-slot grille. It also includes all-season tyres to handle any weather conditions.

The Compass Sport's interior is impressive, with features such as driver seat height adjustment, 60/40 rear split seats, rear armrest with cup holders, and soft-touch front door trims. Compass Sport's infotainment system includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, a media hub with a USB port on the back, and a 12V power outlet. The Jeep Compass Sport also has an 8.4-inch touchscreen system with steering-wheel controls and a four-speaker audio system. For the AT option, this model also gets cruise control.

Safety Features

Jeep has managed to add a slew of safety features to the Compass Sport model. Electronic parking brake, traction control system, ABS, EBD, ESC, ISOFIX, hill-start assist, rear wiper and defogger, rear parking camera with sensors, and dual-front airbags are among the safety features onboard.

Price

The Jeep Compass sport comes in two engine options, with prices starting at Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol manual, Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel manual, and Rs 20.37 lakh for the petrol dual-clutch automatic (ex-showroom). The Jeep Compass Sport competes directly with Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos at this pricing.
