Jeep Meridian And New Grand Cherokee Launch In India Confirmed

It's no secret to anyone that Jeep is currently working on launching the new seven-seater Jeep Meridian and the new Grand Cherokee in the Indian market. The American carmaker recently confirmed the launch of the Meridian by May 2022 while the Grand Cherokee too is set to make its debut in 2022. The Compass Trailhawk too is scheduled for a launch in March 2022. Here are all the details that you should check out about this upcoming seven-seater SUV in the Indian market.

For starters, the new Jeep Meridian will be the first Jeep mid-size SUV to be offered with a 3-row cabin. Just like all other Jeep offerings, the Meridian will be offered with supreme off-road capabilities, superior on-road driving dynamics, premium interiors, and a full array of connected features. It is worth noting that the Jeep Meridian will be made in India with over 80 per cent local componentry.

Having said this, the Jeep Meridian will offer an impressive driving experience with segment-first independent front and rear suspension while it also boasts best-in-class acceleration with its power-to-weight ratio. The brand will be offering the Meridian with three powertrains and two trims offered in diesel only. The brand will be further releasing the official specifications for the Meridian.

The all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee too will be introduced in the Indian market and will be a made-in-India product. The Cherokee is the brand's luxury flagship in Indian and will be offered with an all-new architecture, all0new exterior design, and all-new interiors. The Cherokee in India will be offered with a 2.0-L turbocharged petrol engine with 8-speed automatic transmission. An optional QuadraTrac 4X4 system too will be on offer with the Selec-Terrain traction management system that together delivers superior, unrivalled 4X4 capability in India. On the features front, the driver gets four driving modes - Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow while other features include HUD, a power liftgate, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
