Kia Syros Gets A New HTK(EX) Variant

Kia has added a new variant to its sub-4-meter SUV, the Syros, to make the range more attractive for buyers who want good features without paying for the top models. The new variant is called HTK (EX), and it is positioned between the lower and higher trims, offering a good balance of price and features.

The HTK (EX) petrol variant is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the diesel version costs a little more at Rs 10.63 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch, Kia aims to attract customers who feel the base models are too basic and the higher variants are too expensive.

What does this offer?

The biggest highlight of the HTK (EX) variant is the addition of several features that were earlier available only on higher trims. On the outside, the SUV now gets full LED lighting, including LED headlamps, daytime running lights and LED tail lamps. Another important addition is the electric sunroof. A large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes care of entertainment and connectivity needs. Kia has also added electrically adjustable and foldable outside mirrors, along with a rear parking camera and sensors, making driving and parking easier in city conditions.

Apart from this, safety remains intact as before, right from the base variant itself. It comes standard with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and hill start assist as part of 20+ standard safety features. Not to forget that, Syros already begged 5-Star BNCAP crash test ratings.

Verdict

The Kia Syros HTK (EX) hits the sweet spot in the lineup by offering features that most buyers actually want, without pushing the price too high. With additions like full LED lighting, a sunroof, and a large touchscreen, it feels noticeably more premium than lower trims while remaining much more affordable than top variants. Backed by strong safety credentials and a competitive price, the HTK (EX) stands out as a sensible and value-driven choice in the sub-4-meter SUV segment.
