KTM 390 Adventure X To Get These New Features Soon

KTM 390 Adventure X Plus To Get Traction Control & Cruise Control

KTM is reportedly gearing up to introduce an enhanced version of its accessible 390 Adventure X in just a few weeks. This updated model, expected to be christened the "KTM 390 Adventure X Plus," aims to bridge the feature gap that its more budget-friendly predecessor left, all while maintaining a competitive price point. The current 390 Adventure X, while significantly more affordable than the top-spec 390 Adventure, cuts costs by omitting crucial features like tubeless spoked wheels, adjustable suspension, cornering ABS, switchable traction control, cruise control, and dedicated ride modes.

However, it seems KTM has been listening to feedback and as per some dealer insights, suggest that the upcoming X Plus will smartly integrate some highly desired functionalities. Foremost among these are switchable traction control and cruise control. These additions, known for their seamless operation on the higher-end 390 Adventure, are set to significantly elevate the touring experience on the X Plus, making long highway stretches much more comfortable and controlled. There's even an optimistic whisper that KTM might throw in ride modes, which would further enhance the bike's adaptability across diverse riding conditions.

Powerplant

Beyond these key enhancements, the core of the machine will remain familiar. It will continue to share the same potent engine, robust chassis, and distinctive bodywork with its siblings, though perhaps with some fresh paint schemes. It will retain the same 399cc, liquid-cooled mill that produces 45.3bhp at 8500rpm and 39Nm of torque at 6500rpm, while paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.

This new variant is expected to carry a slightly higher price tag, moving up by approximately Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 from the current 390 Adventure X model, which retails at Rs 2,91,140 (ex-showroom). This modest increase aims to justify the enhanced feature set, making the X Plus a more compelling and well-rounded package for riders seeking additional touring comforts and safety features without committing to the top-tier 390 Adventure's full suite.
