Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to unveil its first all-electric cars- the BE 6e and XEV 9e. Both EV models will break covers on November 26, 2024, at the Unlimit India Event in Chennai. The BE. 6e takes inspiration from BE.05 while the XEV 9e is derived from the XUV.e9. Both BE 6e and XEV 9e are built on the automaker's new INGLO Skateboard platform. Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e: Details
The automaker has officially confirmed that both EV models will be launched by early 2025. The carmaker has also mentioned that it will commence the deliveries of these models by Q4 of 2025. Once launched, the BE 6e and XEV 9e will go against products such as BYD Atto 3, Tata Curvv and Tata Curvv and the upcoming Creta EV and Maruti e-Vitara.
Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e Exterior Revealed
The Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e get Mahindra's new futuristic design which includes sharper design elements. The BE 6e takes inspiration from the Mahindra 3XO when it comes to exterior design and gets a BE 6 badging on the bonnet instead of the Mahindra XUV. The BE 6e is expected to come with 18-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the XEV 9e will come with a connected lightbar and a vertical light system. Additionally, the bigger XEV e9 will feature a curvy bonnet with the Mahindra EV logo on it. Both models will get connected LED taillights.
Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e Interior Design
Both BE 6e and XEV 9e will get premium interiors inspired by the brand's new design language. As per the latest teaser, the BE 6e will get a dual-screen layout while the XEV 9e will get a triple-screen layout. Other common features will include a panoramic sunroof, an Illuminated BE logo and a Squared-off steering wheel. Both EVs also get paddle shifters for regenerative braking purposes.
Mahindra BE 6e, XEV 9e: Battery Pack and Range
The XEV 9e electric SUV is expected to be equipped with an 80 kWh battery pack. The EV is likely to support fast charging up to 175 kW. The battery pack offer may provide a range of up to 500 km on a solitary charge. On the other hand, the BE 6e is likely to offer a battery pack of 60 kWh, enabling a range between 450-500 km on a solitary charge.
