Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Yet Another Spotting

The upcoming Mahindra XUV300, set for a 2024 launch, is anticipated to showcase a design evolution inspired by its larger counterpart, the XUV700. The exterior aesthetics are expected to feature a distinctive split headlamp arrangement, complemented by extended C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs).

Furthermore, the vehicle's profile is likely to boast refreshed 16-inch alloy wheels with a new design, contributing to an enhanced overall appeal. At the rear, the XUV300 is set to sport connected full-width tail lamps, adding a modern touch to its exterior styling. These updates aim to provide a contemporary and stylish look, aligning with the evolving design language within the Mahindra SUV lineup.

The spy images of the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 reveal a comprehensive redesign in the rear, showcasing new LED taillights connected by a light bar. The rear profile also features a rear wiper, roof rails, an extended spoiler, and a conventional antenna

Internally, the Mahindra XUV300 is poised for a significant interior overhaul. The upcoming model is expected to feature a spacious and modern cabin, highlighted by a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that not only enhances functionality but also contributes to an upgraded visual experience. The center console is anticipated to undergo a redesign, providing a fresh layout and improved accessibility to various controls. Additionally, the air conditioning panel is set to receive a revamped design.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: The Powertrain You Know

The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift is expected to maintain the current generation's powertrain options. This includes a 1.2L turbo petrol engine available in two states of tune, offering 110 hp and 200 Nm of torque, and a more powerful version with 130 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Additionally, there's a 1.5L diesel engine with 117 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are expected to include 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT options, and there are rumors of a 6-speed Aisin-sourced torque converter as well.

Meanwhile, with no new launches set for 2023, the XUV300 facelift is set to hit showrooms in early 2024. It will continue to rival the likes of Maruti BrezzaNexon, and the Kia Sonet.

Verdict

The impending XUV300 facelift is poised to deliver substantial improvements, enhancing its appeal in a competitive market. Despite the current model's commendable sales driven by its performance-oriented engine and comfortable ride, the upcoming facelift reflects the brand's commitment to embracing evolving trends in the segment. While the XUV300 may be entering this transformation phase a bit later than some competitors, it aims to stay relevant and competitive in the evolving landscape.
