Maruti Suzuki Swift

Launched in 2005, the Swift received its first major update in 2011 with the introduction of the second-generation model. This model featured a new design and improved interior features. It performed well in the Indian market, leading to the launch of the third generation in 2018. This generation featured a complete design overhaul, both inside and out. In 2024, the 4th Generation Swift was introduced with a slightly updated design and a revamped interior. This generation debuted with a new Z-series engine.

The Swift has set new benchmarks over the years with every new model, improving on the inherent fun-to-drive DNA. This ever so special nature of the Swift has ensured that nearly one out of every four Swift owners come back to buy another Swift. Today, it enjoys an admirable 31% market share in its segment, contributing to over 10% of MSIL sales. On this special 20-year anniversary, we would like to thank all our customers for their unwavering love for brand Swift."

The new Swift features improved convenience and safety characteristics. The exterior includes updated LED headlights with a new daytime running light (DRL) design, a blacked-out front grille, new taillights, and a redesigned alloy wheel. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, and automatic climate control, among other enhancements. The safety features of the 4th-gen Swift include 6 airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill hold, reverse sensors, and a camera, along with other features.
4th Gen Maruti Swift Specs
The Swift comes with a new 1.2-litre Z-series engine. This engine comes in a 3-cylinder configuration and produces 80 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Additionally, the same engine is available with CNG option as well, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only.
