Maruti Swift Facelift Details Leaked: Mileage Up, New Features, No CNG!

The upcoming Maruti Swift facelift is just around the corner, with its launch slated for May 9. The official bookings are already underway and on the road to its debut, a lot of information has leaked online. The mileage is now increased and a host of new features that we had a fair bit of idea earlier. On top of this, a new variant and omission of CNG powertrain is the latest information that the leaks suggest regarding the imminent launch. Maruti Swift Facelift Mileage Leaked: More Fuel-Efficient

Previously reported details about the upcoming Maruti Swift facelift's Z Series engine, set to replace the current four-cylinder K Series, have been confirmed through a brochure leak. The new engine is expected to offer enhanced fuel efficiency at the expense of some power, as indicated by its ARAI-rated efficiency figure of 25.72kpl, marking an improvement of over 3kmpl compared to the outgoing model. Delivering 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of peak torque, the new engine offers a slightly dipped performance figure where the earlier engine churned out 90 Ps of power. It will be offered with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

New Features Confirmed: Wireless Charger, 6 Airbags, And More!

According to the leaked brochure, the Swift facelift will be a major upgrade in terms of features on offer. It is now confirmed that you are now getting a wireless charger, rear AC vents, 6 airbags as standard across variants, USB-C fast charging ports, 9-inch Arkamys system, LED fog lamps, and Suzuki Connect features. This is a stark upgrade from the outgoing model which offered a decent set of features but was lacking in terms of modern features like the ones now incoming.

New Variant Confirmed, But No CNG At Launch

According to the latest information, the Swift 2024 lineup will consist of five variants. In addition to the standard LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI Plus variants, there will be a new VXI (O) variant. This echoes the five-variant lineup seen with the Fronx, where the Delta Plus variant sits in a similar position. However, as usual, the Swift will not have any CNG powertrain at the time of its launch and will be introduced at a later date, sometime in 2024.

The official launch is taking place on May 9, 2024. It will continue to rival other hatchbacks in the segment like the Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, and others.
