MG 5 Electric Estate Car To Be Previewed In 2023 Auto Expo

This year, MG Motor India will display a sizable number of electric vehicles at the Auto Expo. The company seems to be all prepared for the next auto show with new vehicles. An article on the new MG 4 electric SUV's debut at the Auto Expo was published a few days ago. For the occasion, the automaker has now teased the MG 5 Estate, another future electric vehicle. In the European market, the MG 5 Estate electric vehicle is already for sale.

MG 5 Estate Electric Car

When it comes to the electric car's design, it has a streamlined appearance. A sleek grille and swept-back LED headlamps are added to the front end. The charging port is also located in the centre of the front end, and air dams on the side of the bumper are angular. The car has dual tone alloy wheels on the side, and its basic overall design gives it an elegant appearance. It has a crowded bumper at the back with angular cutouts and a Y-shaped LED tail lamp. To give it an estate aspect, the rear windscreen has been slightly slanted.

In terms of the interior, the car receives a light colour makeover to create an airy feeling. A 10.25-inch high-mounted centre touchscreen entertainment system and a rotary knob are both included in the inside. The MG 5 will have an abundance of features, much like every other MG vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle will have up to six airbags, ADAS capability, and other crucial safety measures.

MG 5 Estate Electric Car Specification

The MG 5 EV has a 61.1 kWh battery and a 400 km range on the international market. Additionally, a smaller battery pack of 53.1 kWh is included, giving it a 320 km range. The former has a 115 kW motor that generates 280 Nm of power, while the latter, in an odd pairing, has a 130 kW motor that generates the same amount of torque.

Verdict: The new MG 5 EV will be on display at the Auto Expo in 2023, but the company hasn't said when it would be on sale in India. The MG 4 electric SUV could be introduced in the Indian market before the MG 5 EV.
