MG Brings ZS EV To 6 More Cities - New Bookings To Open From June 1

MG Motor India made its debut with the Hector and boy that car brought justice with its price along with its sheer size and features. And fast forward to 2020, MG brought in ZS EV at a special price for early bookings. MG launched the SUV first in Delhi, Ahemadabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Now, MG has announced that they will start delivering the ZS EV to 6 more cities and the bookings for the same will commence from June 1, 2020. MG now plans to bring in the ZS EV to Chandigarh, Pune, Surat, Cochin, Jaipur and Chennai.

MG ZS EV currently competes with Hyundai Kona EV and the much affordable Tata Nexon EV. The electric SUV gets a 44.5 kWh battery pack which is the largest in its segment. This unit makes 143 bhp with a peak torque of 353 Nm. It gets a single-speed automatic gearbox and gets a claimed range of 340 kilometres.

Sharing more details on the battery specs then the ZS EV can be charged from 0-80% in just 50 minutes with a DC Fast Charger which is installed at select dealerships. You can charge the ZS EV via a 7.4 kWh home or office charger which takes just 8 hours. That's like plug it in the ZS EV before you sleep and once you wake up, the battery will be juiced up.

The home charger is provided by Delta and Exicom. There's another way to make the charging possible. And that is via the onboard cable MG provides you. With this option, it takes up to 21 hours to charge the ZS EV. That's just 3 hours short of a day, eh?

The ZS EV is a loaded electric SUV which offers features like dual-pane sunroof, 8.0-inch touchscreen unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated ORVMs, PM 2.5 Air filter and among others.

Coming to the prices then the ZS EV starts from Rs 20.88 lakh and is available in two trims - Excite and Exclusive. The latter comes at Rs 23.88 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. One can book the electric SUV via dealerships or through the official website.
