MG Majestor: What The Spy Shots Reveal

Recent spy images suggest that the MG Majestor is largely production-ready. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo, the SUV adopts a noticeably different design from the standard Gloster to justify its flagship status. Up front, it gets a bold new grille with squared chrome elements, flanked by a split lighting setup. The LED DRLs sit higher up near the bonnet line, while the main headlamp units are vertically stacked on the bumper, lending the SUV a more imposing road presence.

The test mule was seen with contrasting black ORVMs, which house cameras indicating a 360-degree surround view system. Large alloy wheels with a five-spoke design and generous ground clearance further reinforce its full-size SUV credentials. At the rear, the Majestor features connected LED tail-lamps and prominent 'Morris Garages' lettering across the tailgate, along with a visible Majestor badge.
Interior & Features: A Step Above The Gloster
While MG has not officially revealed the cabin yet, the Majestor's positioning suggests a significantly upgraded interior compared to the Gloster. Globally, the SUV is known for its premium three-tone cabin layout, brushed aluminium accents, and a strong focus on comfort and technology.

Expected highlights include twin 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, powered front and rear seats with massage functions, and a 360-degree camera.
Engine & Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the MG Majestor is likely to use the familiar 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine seen on higher-spec Gloster variants. This motor produces around 213- 215 bhp and up to 500 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. A four-wheel-drive system is expected to be standard, although MG could consider introducing a rear-wheel-drive or manual option later to broaden appeal and manage pricing.

Its key rivals will include the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and upcoming SUVs like the Volkswagen Tayron.
