New Ford Endeavour Sport Edition Officially Teased; Launch Date Revealed

Ford India is gearing up to soon launch the new Ford Endeavour Sport Edition in the country. The upcoming Endeavour Sport Edition has now been officially teased by the company on its social media handles. Also, if you remember, just a few days ago, we shared with you some fresh images of the Endeavour Sport Edition parked at a dealership yard. Now, the dealers have started accepting bookings for the same and the launch date has also been revealed. Here, we have for you some more details about it.

The new Ford Endeavour Sport Edition will be a blacked-out version of the standard Endeavour. It will get several cosmetic changes on the exterior to make it look more appealing and sporty. Talking about aesthetic changes, the new Endeavour Sport Edition will get a dark theme. The chrome inserts of the regular Endeavour will be replaced by gloss black shade. The most prominent change is that at the front, it will get a new honeycomb grille.

The regular Endeavour gets a big chrome-embellished angular hexagonal grille. But, the new Endeavour Sport will get an all-black honeycomb grille that makes it look more menacing. Some other big exterior changes include blacked-out front and rear bumpers, skid plates, ORVMs, front fender vents and side steps. The new Ford Endeavour Sport Edition will also get a 'Sport' badging on the tailgate and 'Sport' decals on the side profile. It will also get glossy-black alloy wheels and blacked-out Endeavour badge on the tailgate.

The upcoming Endeavour Sport Edition won't get any mechanical update or feature add-ons. However, just like the exterior, the interior will also get an all-black theme. The new Endeavour Sport Edition will be powered by the same BS6-compliant 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out 170 PS of power at 3500 RPM and 420 Nm of peak torque between 2000-2500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The regular Endeavour can be had with both 4x2 as well as 4x4 drivetrains. However, we believe the Endeavour Sport will be available with 4x4 only.

The Endeavour has always been a feature-loaded SUV. Some equipment highlights include an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, premium 10-speaker sound system, a big panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, hands-free powered tailgate, terrain management system, and many more. Lastly, talking about the launch date, so the new upcoming Ford Endeavour Sport Edition will be launched on September 22, 2020.
