Next-Gen Kia Seltos Details

The new Seltos has been spotted under camouflage, but there are clearer details visible this time around. The grille, the shape of the headlights and DRLs appear to be inspired by the new Carnival. From the side, the new Seltos appears to be slightly longer but with a shorter overhang, thus suggesting that the new-gen Seltos will grow in dimensions over the regular SUV.

The new Seltos will also come with a new alloy wheel design inspired by those from the much bigger EV9. The rear of the new Seltos is also likely to be inspired by the bigger EV9 and perhaps the Carnival as well, featuring a slim full-length strip and sleek LED tail lights.

As for what it will get under the hood, the next-gen Seltos is likely to come with a new self-charging hybrid powertrain, which will also put it directly against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Renault Duster hybrid overseas and whenever it comes here. It will also likely come with updated versions of the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and nat-asp petrol units. It will also very likely retain the 1.5-litre, turbo-diesel engine, given that diesels are still relevant here.
Verdict
The new Seltos is expected to come to India sometime in 2026, and we can expect it to be a huge revamp over the regular car when it comes here. It will also derive tech from the new Hyundai Creta, which is expected to undergo an overhaul soon.
