Nissan Gravite Exterior Design: Familiar Shape, Distinct Nissan Identity

The Nissan Gravite is based on the CMF-A+ architecture, shared with the Renault Triber. With its sub-4-metre footprint, the Gravite will compete directly with the Renault Triber, while offering Nissan-specific design and feature differentiation. While the Gravite carries over the Triber's overall proportions, Nissan has worked to give it a clear visual identity of its own. Teaser images suggest a redesigned front end featuring a new grille, revised bumper styling, and Nissan-branded detailing.

The headlamp and tail light housings appear familiar in shape but are expected to feature unique lighting elements. Around the sides, the MPV will get new alloy wheel designs and roof rails, while the rear receives a reworked bumper and fresh tail-lamp graphics, along with the Gravite nameplate spelled out across the tailgate. Overall, the design aims to look more robust and premium than its Renault sibling without straying far from its practical roots.
Interior & Features: Practical Cabin Like The Triber
Although Nissan hasn't fully revealed the cabin yet, the Gravite is expected to borrow the Triber's layout, enhanced with brand-specific colour themes and trims. Seating flexibility is likely to remain a key highlight, especially for urban families. Expected features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, push-button start, wireless phone charging, and manual air conditioning with vents for the second and third rows. Safety is likely to be a strong focus as well, with six airbags, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, TPMS, and a rear-view camera expected on higher trims, and more.

Engine & Gearbox: Proven Petrol Setup

Powering the Nissan Gravite will be the familiar 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 76 hp and 95 Nm, the same unit used in the Triber and entry-level Magnite variants. Buyers can expect 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, keeping the focus on affordability and ease of use, where a CNG variant could also be introduced at a later stage.
As for its pricing, it will mimic the Renault Triber with a price range expected between Rs 6 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs ex-showroom. With launch set for January 2026, the deliveries are scheduled for March 2026.
