Ahead of the launch of Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition in a few days, Skoda India has silently brought in a new variant, Ambition Classic. This variant sits below the Ambition trim and is devoid of many features. However, it gains chrome accessories that are not even seen with the Ambition variant. In this article, we will be listing down all things this variant gets!
Feature-wise, this new variant retains the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity. The lower Active variant gets a smaller, 7.0-inch touchscreen unit with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Like the Ambition, this Ambition Classic too gets six speakers so that is a relief. Skoda has also excluded the automatic climate control and this variant receives manual AC. This is because of the shortage of semiconductor chips globally. On the inside, this new variant receives black colour seats with a honeycomb design over the black fabric seats with dual colour sporty centre stripes available in the Ambition.

On the outside, the Ambition Classic gets a glossy black roof rail, chrome garnish on the window beltline, doors, front bumper air intakes and trunk. Also, the carbon steel colour of the Skoda Kushaq gets glossy white roof rails as standard over the glossy black ones as available in other colours.
Mechanically, there is no change at all and it is available with 1.0L TSI engine only. This three-cylinder, BS6 compliant motor belts out as much as 114 bhp of power with a peak torque of 178 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets a 6-speed torque converter as an option. The ARAI certified mileage of the 1.0L TSI motor sticks to 17.88 kmpl for the manual and 15.78 kmpl for the 6-speed AT. The automatic variant is priced at Rs 14.09 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
