The Skoda Kushaq 1.0L TSI base variant costs Rs 10.89 lakh, with seven more variants available with this engine. The upcoming Kylaq will also feature the same powertrain, but its fuel efficiency is likely to be better than the Kushaq, thanks to its sub-4 meter size and lighter weight. This will make it even harder for customers to choose the Kushaq 1.0L. To clear out the stock, the company is offering hefty discounts of up to Rs 2 lakh on this compact SUV.

By doing this, the brand is creating a gap between the prices of these two SUVs, ensuring that people's interest in the car does not dissipate. Additionally, according to several reports, Skoda might stop offering the 1.0L TSI engine with a manual gearbox and continue with the 6-speed AT only. Specifically, the Onyx AT costs Rs 13.49 lakh, and this is the first variant that comes with an automatic transmission.

An advantage the Skoda Kushaq has over the Kylaq is the 1.5L TSI EVO engine, which is a powerhouse, delivering 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT. This engine is designed for petrolheads who crave a thrilling ride performance.
