Tata Announces Lifetime Battery Warranty On Curvv EV and Nexon EV

Tata Motors, India's third-largest private vehicle manufacturer, has announced a lifetime battery warranty for its popular Curvv EV and Nexon EV models with the 45 kWh battery pack - covering unlimited kilometers. What makes this announcement even more beneficial is that the offer applies to the current customers too. Tata EV
The lifetime warranty program on batteries for Tata EVs was first heard with the Harrier EV; now this has extended to these two models. Also, it's great that existing customers who own the Nexon EV with the 45 kWh battery pack and the Curvv EV will also enjoy this newly announced scheme. This new warranty not only supports the progressive development of long-term resale value for EVs but also complements the significant savings in running costs (estimated at Rs 8 - 9 lakh over 10 years), creating a compelling ownership proposition.

Tata Curvv EV starts at Rs 17.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 22.24 lakh (ex-showroom). It is equipped with two battery pack options - 45 kWh and 55 kWh. On the other hand, Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh variants start at Rs 13.99 lakh and go up to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Verdict
As part of its consistent efforts to remove barriers to electric vehicle adoption in India, Tata Motors has done a great job today. As people have so many questions regarding electric vehicles, and all these questions are basically barriers which aren't giving them full confidence to go ahead and buy an EV, despite knowing there are several benefits.
