Toyota Fortuner Rival Jeep Meridian To Be Unveiled On March 29 - Details

Jeep is all set to unveil their 7-seater SUV, Meridian on March 29, 2022. This SUV will compete with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq upon its launch. The Meridian is based on the brand's most selling SUV, Compass only but now will be longer in length and will be available with an option of both 6 and 7 seater configurations.

Powering the Jeep Meridian will be the identical 2.0-litre FCA sourced oil burner. This four-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor generates 168 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 350 Nm in the Compass. We believe that the power and torque figures in the Meridian will be more than what it is being offered in the Compass now. Jeep can offer both 6-speed manual as well as 9-speed automatic transmission on offer with the Meridian.

Jeep Meridian will be offered with several features like a huge panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, a larger infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable driver's seat, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging and among others.

Safety features on the Jeep Meridian will be rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, 6 airbags or more, front parking sensors (expected), tyre-pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, hill descent control, front seat belt reminder, ISOFIX child seat mounts and more.
