According to some sources on the internet, the unofficial bookings of the upcoming Jeep Meridian 7-seater SUV have commenced at a starting price of Rs 50,000. This is happening at some locations in India. You still have to connect with your nearest dealership for the same.

Mechanically, Jeep Meridian is expected to house the similar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that is seen in the Compass. It produces 168 bhp of power with a maximum torque of 350 Nm. However, we believe that the power and torque figures will rise once the Meridian is launched in the Indian market. We expect that the nine-speed automatic gearbox will be offered as a standard fitment with this SUV.
Sharing the details on the exteriors then yes, the Meridian boasts quite some similarities with the Compass, however, the length and wheelbase of the upcoming SUV are longer by 364 mm and 158 mm, respectively. On the outside, it will get all-LED headlights, integrated LED daytime running lights, sharper bumper design, LED taillights and others.
Feature-wise, the Meridian will get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and integrated Alexa support, wireless charging, a huge panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with ventilated function, digital instrument cluster and more. We believe that the Jeep Meridian will be offered in both 6 and 7-seat configurations.

Once launched, Jeep Meridian will lock horns with the mighty Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq. As far as the prices are concerned, we expect it to be priced between Rs Rs 35 lakh to Rs 39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
