1. Kia Carens Clavis Electric

Kia is set to electrify the Indian MPV segment with the official debut of the Carens Clavis Electric on July 15, 2025, closely following its ICE counterpart's May launch. Spy shots from India and overseas confirm its design largely mirrors the ICE model, albeit with EV-specific aerodynamic tweaks like optimized alloy wheels and subtly reshaped bumpers. The interior, while retaining a similar layout, is expected to feature a distinct cabin theme and gain premium additions such as a powered co-driver's seat with boss mode and ventilated second-row seats. Though powertrain specifics are still under wraps, multiple battery options are anticipated, aiming for a claimed range of up to 500 km to establish a strong presence in the electric MPV market and is one of the highly anticipated amongst the upcoming cars in July 2025.

2. MG M9 E-MPV

Bookings for the M9 have already commenced since May, with prospective buyers able to reserve the vehicle for a token amount of Rs 51,000. Designed with an unwavering focus on rear-seat comfort, the M9 aims to redefine luxury mobility. Its interior highlights include lavish captain seats in the second row, which boast integrated massaging functions, extendable ottomans, and full reclining capability, promising a first-class travel experience. Powering this electric MPV is a 90 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of approximately 430 km (WLTP). While specific powertrain specifications for the India-spec model are yet to be fully detailed, the M9's exterior projects a classic large MPV silhouette, characterized by clean lines and a boxy yet sophisticated presence. Dates are yet to be announced for its official launch.

3. MG Cyberster

MG is gearing up to launch its most powerful electric offering yet, the MG Cyberster, in India by July 2025, following its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. Although it was expected to launch earlier, but with the units already arriving at dealerships, it is ready for its final launch this month. This all-electric roadster features scissor doors, a striking modern design with petal-inspired LED DRLs, arrow-shaped tail lamps, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The India-spec version will come with a 77kWh battery powering dual electric motors, producing a combined 510PS and 725Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 443km. Expected to be priced around Rs. 70 lakhs to Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom), pre-bookings for the Cyberster are already open and it could finally make it to the list of the upcoming cars for the last time.

4. Renault Kiger Facelift

After much anticipation, the facelifted Renault Kiger is finally nearing its debut in India. While the upcoming update is expected to bring a refreshed exterior design and possibly a few new features, it will remain mechanically unchanged. That means it will continue with the familiar 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. Meanwhile, the updated Renault Triber has also been spotted on test, but its launch is expected only towards the end of 2025.

5. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

BMW is gearing up to introduce the next iteration of its entry-level offering, the 2 Series Gran Coupe, in India, with its arrival expected by July 2025 following its global unveiling in October 2024. This refreshed model showcases a sharper exterior aesthetic, highlighted by a redesigned kidney grille, sleeker LED tail lamps, and new 18-inch alloy wheels (with 19-inch options available internationally). The cabin has received a significant refresh, now featuring a modern 10.25-inch digital driver's display and sophisticated ambient lighting with a variety of customizable color choices. Comfort is also elevated with power-adjustable front seats. While the global market benefits from a diverse range of powertrains, the India-spec version is largely anticipated to stick with its proven and familiar engine choices: a 178 PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 190 PS 2.0-litre diesel engine, ensuring a balance of performance and efficiency tailored for the local market.

Verdict

The upcoming cars in July 2025 span a wide segment spread going from the Kiger facelift which is an ICE launch all the way up to MG M9 MPV which happens to be an EV launch. However, for me, its the Cyberster finally coming to showrooms that cement its launch after delays for some time now. Which launch are you looking forward to? Do share your thoughts with us.
