The upcoming Honda SUV has already created a lot of buzz in India. It has been spied on multiple occasions while on test runs. Once again, a test mule of it has been spied giving some close shots of the new SUV. It is expected to mark its global debut in India by June. Read its details below. Upcoming Honda SUV - Creta & Grand Vitara Rival?

If we trust the online rumors, Honda is going to debut this new SUV in India on June 6. It is going to be a global event and a global debut as well. However, it is no compact SUV as its length will stretch up to 4.3 mts as expected. While the overhang of its front and rear appears short; Honda is eyeing to offer max wheelbase for roomy interiors.

The design of the Elevate it is still unknown, all thanks to the camouflage, but it is going to appear boxy overall. Also, it'll withdraw cues from the latest WR-V & HR-V global SUVs. In fact, the taillights appear to be the same as the 2023 W-V sold overseas.

Honda is also testing safety equipment like ADAS, a lane assist camera, & even a 360-degree parking camera-assist on it. The test mule can be seen using ORVMs with the camera housing. A few other details of the design include - blacked alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars & roof rails. In terms of features, we expect it to get a digital instrument console, a big touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, & maybe even front-ventilated seats as well.

Under the hood, it shall be powered by only one engine version. The Honda City 5th gen's 1.5-lt petrol engine might be used on it. Additionally, the top variants might also feature hybrid tech as seen in the City itself. Honda will offer options for manual as well as automatic transmissions on it.

Verdict - Price & Rivals

As it'll succeed the 4 mts length, we anticipate that it'll be priced well above Rs 10 lakh for its base model. Hence, its competition will also be with the mid-size SUVs like Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, & Toyota Hyryder.
