Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is currently testing the facelift of its seven-seater SUV Alcazar. The test mule of the SUV has been spotted on test multiple times. A recent set of spy pictures has surfaced on the internet and shows that the brand is doing high-altitude testing of the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar facelift. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift - New Alloy Design & Other Changes
The newly spotted test mule was spotted undergoing high altitude testing and revealed some new details about the upcoming SUV. The test mule was seen with a new set of alloy wheels which was previously spotted on a test mule on test in Korea. The new alloy wheels gets a multi-spoke design which looks more appealing then the current model.
If we talk about the design of the upcoming facelift, it will draw some design cues from the new Hyundai Creta facelift. The front will get a bigger grille with different accents to make it different from the Creta. A square shaped headlamp assembly is also expected to adorn the front with new design for LED DRLs. We can also expect some changes in the bumper design as well. At the rear, we can anticipate a similar design for the tail lamp as the new Creta. The tail lamp ends will get a vertically stacked light and the tail lamps will be connected with a LED lightbar.
Moving to the interior, the major changes will be available in the facelift, however they will be similar to the new Creta. The dashboard design and elements will be shared from the Creta facelift, although we can expect the use of new colour tones for the interior to give it a different look.
Upcoming Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Features
On the features front, the Alcazar is already a well equipped SUV but the facelift will make it more feature loaded. We can anticipate the addition of dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, electrically adjustable driver seat. On the safety front, the Alcazar facelift will get Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, all-4 disc brakes, 6-airbags, ESC, hill-hold, electric parking brake with auto hold among other features.

Upcoming Hyundai Alcazar Facelift - Engine Specifications
The upcoming Alcazar facelift will continue to offer the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of peak torque. The other engine option will be the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The former is mated with 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox while the latter comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT gearbox.
Verdict
The Hyundai Alcazar is Hyundai's only 6/7-seater SUV available in the Indian market and it is long due for an update. The Alcazar facelift is expected to make its debut in the second half of the year and it is expected to boast some major changes in terms of design, interior, features and other areas. The brand might not change the engine offerings but it might increase the price of the car. The Hyundai Alcazar compete with the MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700.
