After the huge success of the 3-door Mahindra Thar, the brand is extensively testing the 5-door variant of the SUV. Mahindra Thar 5-door has been seen on test once again. This time the side profile of the SUV is visible, however, the test mule was covered in complete camouflage which gives an idea about how the side profile will be.

Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door

The Scorpio N's platform is anticipated to be shared by the 5-door Thar. Additionally, it will have a longer wheelbase than the 3-door version. There will be additional seating space owing the long wheelbase. Although the Thar 5-door seating configuration is still a mystery, we can expect it to include a variety of seating options. One of them can have a 6-seat configuration with captain chairs in the front and second row, and the other can have a 7-seat layout with benches on the second and last rows.

Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door Engine

Engine specifications are probably going to stay the same. The 2.0-liter petrol and the 2.2-liter m-Hawk diesel engine options will be available for the 5-Door Thar. A selection of manual and automatic transmission choices will be available with both of these engine combinations. In addition, a full 4X4 option will be available, but the ordinary models might only have a RWD.
