To increase its market share, carmakers often provide a discount on their vehicles to improve sales. The same step is being followed by the German carmaker, Volkswagen which is offering discount worth Rs 1.26 lakh on some of its models in October 2020.

Volkswagen Vento
The C-Segment sedan which rivals Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid and Hyundai Verna is being offered with a discount for as high as Rs 1.26 lakh. The sedan is sold in four variants - Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus.

It is the top-spec Highline Plus variant which is getting the maximum cash discount of Rs 1.10 lakh. The ex-showroom, Delhi price of Highline Plus sticks to Rs 12.08 lakh for the manual and Rs 13.29 lakh for the automatic. Furthermore, Volkswagen is also giving an additional Rs 25,000 as an exchange bonus if you are choosing this variant.
For corporate discount, Volkswagen is providing an additional Rs 10,000 for the Vento. Additionally, the Highline variant which is available at a discounted price of Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi also sees Rs 25,000 as exchange bonus.
Volkswagen Polo
The Polo is being offered with two engine options - 1.0L MPI and a more powerful 1.0L TSI engine. The Trendline and Comfortline Plus get 1.0L naturally aspirated engine while the Highline Plus and GT variant gets the turbo petrol motor.
Now, for the Trendline variant, Volkswagen is offering up to Rs 48,500 worth of discount. This accounts for Rs 28,500 as a cash offer and another Rs 20,000 as an exchange bonus. Similarly, the Comfortline Plus is being offered with Rs 43,000 worth of discount. This is further segregated as Rs 23,000 in cash and another Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus.

The 1.0 MPI makes as much as 75 bhp with 95 Nm of peak torque and gets mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Coming towards the TSI motor offered in Highline Plus and GT variant, it is being offered with a total discount of Rs 39,500 (Rs 19,500 cash + Rs 20,000 exchange).
Volkswagen is also giving up to Rs 5,000 as a corporate discount to Polo and another Rs 15,000 as loyalty benefits to existing Volkswagen customers. You can also visit your nearest dealerships for further discounts and schemes. There is no discount on Tiguan Allspace and T-Roc as of now.
