Should I buy the E6 Electric?
The BYD E6 electric is a complete family car with ample range and brilliant space to offer inside. Besides that, it is among a favorite vehicle for tour operators. Big on boot, range, and feature list, it is India’s first premium electric MPV on offer.
- The front face gets a dragon face design which gives a bold look to the car. The LED DRLs and headlights provide elegance to its appeal. The minimalist use of chrome on the grill gives a sophisticated presence to the E6.
- From the side, the ground clearance can be an issue with 170mm (unladen). The subtle use of chrome on the window line provides a premium appeal to this MPV. The length is more than 4m which enhances the space inside the cabin.
- Coming at the rear, the simplicity is carried forward with the simple design of the taillamps and chrob 5me line. The all-LED taillamps justify the statement of premium MPV.
- The BYD E6 is built with blade battery technology. This 71.7 kWh battery is equipped with a PMSM motor that churns out 91 BHP of power and 180 Nm of peak torque.
- This blade battery provides a claimed range of 520 Km 9 (WLTP) and in real life, it will return about 400-415 km easily.
- It goes to a maximum speed of 130-140 km/h and has regenerative braking on offer.
- Talking of the charging time, using a DC fast charger, goes up to 80% in 1.5 hours, and using an AC charger will take around 12-14 hours for a complete recharge.
- The interior of the E6 is laid out beautifully. The floating 10.1” touchscreen infotainment is slick to use and feels responsive. The use of a piano black finish provides a premium appeal inside the cabin.
- The seats provide good comfort and practicality of cabin is well-equipped with plenty of cubby holds. The glove box is big enough to accommodate 2-3 water bottles.
- The touch and feel of materials are on the premium side. You would expect some extra features at this price point like ventilated seats, memory function, etc.
- The BYD E6 is available in 5-seater version only. The rivals do offer more configuration options but the space and comfort in E6 is no less.
- The rear seats offer a premium experience. Well cushioned seats with ample knee room shoulder room and legroom are good for 3 passengers in the rear.
- There is ample space to store your water bottles inside the E6. All the doors can accommodate 1L bottle each and there are cupholders for different cups and water bottles.

OHM E Logistics is a prominent electric cab aggregator and cargo leasing app platform with a focus on tracking and fleet management. The delivery of the BYD e6 electric MPV to OHM E Mobility will be executed in stages over the next six months.
BYD E6 Electric Powertrain: The MPV is powered by a 71.7 kWh Blade Battery with a WLTC range of 520 kilometres. The E6 electric MPV provides a safe and convenient driving experience by offering AC and DC rapid charging, charging from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes.
BYD E6 Features: LED daytime running lights and LED rear combination lamps are among the car's many features. Leather seats and 6-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats are included in the upgraded interior. A rotating 10.1-inch touch screen allows for smooth Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity.
