No wonder KIA has established itself in India with a strong footprint. The entry of the brand took place back in 2019 with its most popular model Seltos SUV. The Seltos has been a golden cookie for KIA ever since. As the competition gets stronger day by day, KIA has also updated the Seltos. The 2022 KIA Seltos facelift is now revealed online with clear details.

2022 KIA Seltos Facelift Design & Features
The upcoming Seltos SUV facelift looks promising as it gets more tech & features. A detailed look at the photos showcases the new design. Up front, the LED DRL is reshaped with a sharp uplifted design; similar to the KIA Carens. While most dimensions are the same, the front bumper embraces more cuts & creases to make way for butch looks.
KIA is using a new alloy wheel design to refresh the overall side looks. One will find lots of changes at the rear. The LED taillights are now stretched & connected to the boot lid via the KIA badge. The L-shape of the taillights makes it look attractive for sure. The boot design is also looking bold & butch due to the addition of more creases in the body panels.
Speaking of features, the facelift will get a plethora of additions to the tech list. We expect the ADAS technology of up to Level 2 in the new Seltos. Additionally, features as such lane assist camera, blind-spot monitoring, driver HUD, etc. are also expected to come.
The interior design is also redone with the addition of a new dashboard. It is now more curvy in design as it embraces a new touch-screen as well. The 9-inch touchscreen seems similar in design to the KIA EV6. The HVAC controls are also redesigned. KIA is going to replace the gear shifter with a rotary knob for the automatic variants.
Engine & Specifications
For the facelifted car, we do not expect any mechanical changes to come by. This means that the same 3 different engine portfolios remain in the use. KIA offers the Seltos with a 1.5-Lt NA petrol, 1.5-Lt turbo diesel, & a 1.4-Lt turbo petrol engine options. The gearbox options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT automatic, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, & a 7-speed DCT.
Internationally, the facelifted Seltos might feature a new petrol engine. The new engine is a 1.8-Lt turbo petrol unit that produces more power & torque figures than the rest of the lineup. Although, this new engine is not coming to India as per the reports on the internet.

Price, Launch & Rivals
KIA Seltos facelift is expected to come in India by the end of 2022 This will happen once the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift gets launched. Creta is also one of its major rivals & shares the same platform. The mid-size SUV segment is now started to become a lot more competitive. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is unveiled today which is directed to compete with the Creta & Seltos.
The Hyryder is co-jointly designed by Toyota & Maruti Suzuki. The Maruti Suzuki's Hyryder cousin car is destined to make its debut by the July end as well. Both of these cars are equipped with an AWD as well as full-hybrid options.
The expected price of the facelifted car will hover around Rs 10 - 19 Lakh. The rivals list will also feature the Volkswagen Taigun & the Skoda Kushaq.
