Maruti is gearing up for the launch of the 2022 XL6 and the same has now been spotted at a dealership. We can expect the launch to happen in April 2022 and following that, the carmaker will also bring the facelifted Ertiga that has been spotted on the roads several times.
With this 2022 XL6 model, Maruti has made some visual changes like new alloy wheels over the current 15-inch ones. Unlike the older alloys that looked too small on this big MPV, these bigger alloy wheels embody the XL6 well.
We do expect other visual treats like a new grille design, updated upholstery, features and some new colour options. The current XL6 is offered with an all-black interior theme but we can expect a dual-tone treatment too. Similarly, the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is expected to be replaced with a larger 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro version as seen on the new Baleno.

Mechanically, Maruti XL6 will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine churns out 103 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 138 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and according to the reports, the 4-speed torque converter will now be replaced with a 6-speed AT.
Feature-wise, Maruti XL6 is equipped with cruise control, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, tilt-adjustable steering wheel with multi-function, captain seats for the middle row, electrically adjustable and retractable outside review view mirrors and among others.
Safety features on the XL6 include reverse parking sensors, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, dual airbags, a high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder and more. The automatic variants of the XL6 also get hill hold control and an electronic stability program.
