2022 MG ZS EV Gets 10.1 Touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bigger Battery

New ZS EV Features

There has been a significant increment in the demand for EV cars in the Indian market within a short period. Proving this fact are the sales figures of EV cars which include the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona EV and the Tata Nexon EV. As we know that the new MG ZS EV is about to get launched, the interior details including the features list have been declared by MG.

The new EV from MG will feature a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment unit will be equipped with creature comfort features such as the Apple CarPlay, Android Auto phone connectivity. These features will assist the drivers and passengers in multiple ways and most importantly provide a more luxury-rich experience in the upcoming EV car.

Other technological advancements shall include the use of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), a larger battery pack with a claimed driving range of 480 km, etc. making the new ZS EV a more value for money product.

New ZS EV Design & Engine

The design features will include the use of a front-covered grille with a charging socket now placed on the left side of the MG logo. The new MG ZS EV will feature a sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheel design, new LED DRL headlights, new LED taillights along the redesigned front and rear bumpers. These design updates have been already shown in our exclusive breakout of the ZS EV.

Also, on the powertrain front, the new MG ZS EV will feature a brand new bigger 50.3 kWh battery that will produce a peak power of 176 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm as compared to the 44 kWh battery of the old model which produced a peak power of 143 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque.

As the overall design will resemble the current MG ZS EV, the new car shall be a big upgrade in terms of technology, features, and comfort as promised by the MG itself.

New ZS EV Price, Launch & Rivals

MG has already begun the process of bookings and customers have already started pitching towards the showrooms, we expect the ZS EV to launch by late February 2022 or in early March 2022. Rivaling the likes of Tata Nexon EV, Hyundai Kona EV, the new ZS EV shall be priced withing a bracket of Rs 22-25 Lakhs (expected).
