Toyota has finally launched the Hilux at a starting price of Rs 33.99 lakh for the base, Standard variant and the top of the line, High AT is available at Rs 36.80 lakh. This is the standard price across India. This pick-up truck shares the same IMV ladder on frame platform as the Innova Crysta and Fortuner thus the availability of spare parts will not be a hassle.

Toyota Hilux is powered by a powerful, 2.8-litre, BS6 compliant, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This unit produces 204 hp of power with a peak torque of 500 Nm with the 6-speed auto. The peak torque is limited to 420 Nm with the 6-speed iMT unit.

As can be seen in the table above, all variants of the Hilux are offered with a standard 4x4 only. It comes with a 700 mm of water wading capacity, gets a low-range gearbox, approach and departure angle of 29 degrees and 26 degrees respectively.
The Hilux is equipped with active traction control and automated limited slip-differential to further improve its off-roading capabilities. Safety features on the Hilux include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, a high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder, reverse parking sensors and more.
Feature-wise, Toyota Hilux is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel with rake and reach adjustment, tyre angle monitor and more.
This pick-up truck is available in five colour options and those are -
Emotional Red
White Pearl
Silver Metallic
Super White
Grey Metallic
