The Toyota Hilux is all set to make its debut in the Indian market soon. Currently, in its eighth generation, the Hilux was first introduced in the year 1968 and ever since then, is known as one of the most reliable and capable pickup trucks that we have in the market. In India, the Hilux will be available with a 2.8-L turbo diesel engine. This engine churns out a peak power of 204 Ps and can be had with both, manual as well as automatic gearboxes. Additionally, the brand will also be introducing an automated 6-speed manual gearbox for those looking for additional practicality. Toyota Hilux Design And Dimensions
The Toyota Hilux boasts a bold and strong design language that helps it have a mighty road presence. The front of the truck is largely dominated by a large piano trapezoid grille and sleek LED headlamps while from the sides, the truck gets a rugged look complemented by 18-inch super chrome alloy wheels. In addition to this, the Hilux also gets a steel step chrome rear bumper that further enhances the look.

Toyota Hilux Safety
The Toyota Hilux gets a long list of safety features and equipment. To start with, the Hilux will offer 7 SRS Airbags, Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist. In addition to this, the Hilux also offers Emergency Brake Signal, Drive Start Control (DSC), Trailer Sway Control (TSC), Front and Rear Parking sensors and other standard features like ISOFIX, Impact sensing door unlock, 3 point ELR with pre-tensioner with load limiter and whiplash injury lessening seat. To boost the capabilities, the brand is offering features like Limited Slip Differential (LSD), Tyre Angle Monitor (TAM), Automatic differential lock, and water wading capacity (700 mm).

Toyota Hilux Variants
As per the information available so far, the Toyota Hilux will be offered in two trim options. The lower trim will only be available with manual transmission and the brand will be offering two colour options with this variant - super white and grey. The higher trim option on the other hand will be available with manual as well automatic gearbox while four exterior colour options will be offered with this variant. These include pearl white, emotional red, silver, and grey.

The Hilux will be positioned as a luxury lifestyle vehicle and will be offered with a long list of features. To start with, it gets premium leather seats, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, 8-way electrically adjustable front seat, upper cooled glovebox, heat rejection glasses, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, and an 8-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features like Mira Cast and ECM IRVM will also be offered with the Hilux.
