2023 Kia Seltos Gets 2 New ADAS Variants Starting At Rs. 19.39 Lakhs

Kia India, one of the leading carmakers in the country, has unveiled two new variants of the 2023 Kia Seltos: GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S), positioned between the premium HTX+ variant & GTX+ and X-Line variants. These variants fill the gap between the premium HTX+ variant and the GTX+ and X-Line models, aiming to reduce waiting times and enrich the value proposition for customers. The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants introduce significant enhancements, including ADAS Level 2 with 17 autonomous features.

Kia Seltos New Variants: GTX+ (S) And X-Line (S)

These models serve to bridge the gap between the premium HTX+ variant and the existing GTX+ and X-Line variants, addressing waiting periods and enhancing the overall value proposition for customers. The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) come with significant upgrades, including ADAS Level 2 featuring 17 autonomous features, R18 Crystal Cut Glossy Black alloy wheels, an Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, and a sporty all-black Roof lining, among other enhancements, for an additional cost starting at INR 20,000.

In addition to the upgrades, the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) models come equipped with a 6-speaker audio system and a rear camera, providing an alternative to the Bose audio systems and the Surround View Monitor found in the GTX+ and X-Line variants. The New Seltos has performed exceptionally well, achieving a remarkable milestone of 50,000 bookings in just over two months, with the top-of-the-line variants accounting for 77% of the total bookings. This underscores the strong demand and preference for Kia's premium offerings in the Indian market.

Engine Options And Pricing

In terms of the Petrol powertrain, the GTX+ (S) is equipped with a 7-speed DCT and is priced at Rs. 19,39,900, while the X-Line (S) petrol variant also features a 7-speed DCT but comes with a price tag of Rs. 19,59,900. On the other hand, for the diesel powertrain, the GTX+ (S) comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and is priced at Rs. 19,39,900, while the X-Line (S) diesel variant is priced at Rs. 19,59,900 and features a 6-speed automatic transmission. These pricing options provide customers with a range of choices to suit their preferences and budget considerations.

Waiting Period To Drop Down

Commenting on the introduction, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head Sales and Marketing  Kia India, said, There is no better way to win customers hearts than offering them quick access to their most loved car. The average waiting period on the new Seltos line-up is about 15-16 weeks, which will be cut down to 7-9 weeks with the introduction of these new variants assuring deliveries before Diwali. These variants have been carefully designed for tech-savvy customers who dont want to compromise on the looks, tech, and ADAS-assisted safety systems but want quick delivery.
