2024 Force Gurkha 5-Door Deliveries Begin: Know What Makes It Special

Force recently launched the Gurkha 5 door in India. Positioned against the Mahindra Thar, the 2024 Gurkha now starts from Rs. 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 3-door model and goes up to Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 5-door variant. The brand has now started the deliveries for the lifestyle vehicle. Force Gurkha has been rivalling the Mahindra Thar in India for almost a decade now. Despite significant efforts by Force Motors, Gurkha has always recorded fewer sales than the Mahindra hot-selling Thar SUV.

However, the 2024 Gurkha comes with some major improvements inside and out which positions it as a more strong rival in front of the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny. The 2024 Gurkha will definitely get the advantage of being available in the 5-door version before the Thar Armada. The Thar 5-Door is scheduled to launch in India on 15 August 2024. 2024 Force Gurkha 5 Door: What Makes it Special?

When we talk about practicality, the 2024 Force Gurkha offers a better value than its predecessor. The new Gurkha offers more features when compared to its existing rivals in the Indian market. From the Mercedes G-wagon-like appearance to added off-road specific equipment like snorkel, Gurkha is more off-road centric than the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny.

2024 Gurkha: Design and Features

The all-new Gurkha 5 door comes with G-Wagon-like fender-mounted LED turn indicators, round-shaped LED headlights and DRLs, fog lights with cornering function, a water snorkel, a ladder, a side-step, a roof rack, a swanky, 255-section tyres and much more. All these features are lacking in all the existing rivals of the 2024 Gurkha in the Indian market.

As far as the features are concerned, the 2024 Gurkha 5-door comes packed with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a fully digital instrumental console with TPMS readout, tilt and telescopically adjustable steering wheel. Additionally, the 2024 Gurkha 5 door gets captain seats in the third row.

2024 Gurkha 5-Door Engine

The 2024 Force Gurkha 5 door comes powered by a 2.6 CR turbo diesel engine which usually churns out 95 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. However, the same engine on the new Gurkha generates 140 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. The powerhouse comes mated to a 5-speed transmission which provides a smooth drive. Some other drive-related features of the new Gurkha include an engine start/stop button, front and rear locking differentials and an electronic shift-on-the-fly 4X4 transfer case.
