2024 Tata Nexon Facelift - Details
As seen in the spy shots, the new Nexon will be getting a major overhaul. Nexon is doing well in terms of sales since it has been launched. However, competitors like Maruti Brezza & Hyundai Venue have recently undergone major updates. Hence, Tata knows that an overhaul is required to keep the fire burning for Nexon. Now, speaking of the upcoming update; it'll get a new design. The spy car is seen completely camouflaged but the curves and creases of the facelift are clearly visible. The front end will be getting a completely new shape. The LED headlights and the front bumper will undergo complete revision. The fascia of it might resonate with the Curvv SUV concept in terms of design.
Similarly, the side profile also gets some exciting updates. For example, the ORVMs look like they're carried forward from the Harrier or Safari SUVs. Additionally, a new alloy wheel design is also expected to give the new update more appeal. Meanwhile, the rear design is also going to get a complete upgrade. The taillights, for example, look sharper and inspired by the bigger SUV siblings. Additionally, the rear bumper and the boot lid also look changed and reshaped.
Tata will also rework the interiors of the new Nexon facelift. It'll likely get a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This new bigger screen has recently been updated on the Harrier & Safari. Meanwhile, the dashboard design as well as the instrument console will also get updated. Tata might fit some new exciting features on it like the ADAS itself. If this happens, we can also expect more safety features like the HUD, lane-assist warning, blind-spot monitoring, & even adaptive cruise control.
Engine & Specifications
With all the cosmetics changing, the engine & powertrain are also likely to be revised. The possibility is that the 1.2-lt petrol motor will get a revamp in power & torque figures. Also, Tata might offer a sporty variant with additional power like the Altroz Racer. Meanwhile, the possibility of a CNG variant can not be ignored as well. This is because its main rival i.e. Maruti Brezza is now available in CNG as well. Hence, bi-fuel variants will help boost its sales.
Verdict
The facelift model of Nexon is currently undergoing its final phase of testing. This means that the car is reaching its production stage soon. Hence, we can expect it to get launched either by the end of 2023 or early 2024. Moreover, the prices of the facelift will be increased due to more features & updates.
