Volkswagen Taigun Facelift

This is the first-ever facelift given to the Taigun, which was first launched in 2021 as part of the Skoda-VW 2.0 plan. The car has received several new features, along with a new 8-speed gearbox and two new colour options. But let's talk about the pricing first. It is available in a total of eleven variants, of which nine variants come only with the 1.0L TSI engine. The last two are equipped with the 1.5L TSI EVO engine that makes 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG, code name DQ200.
Price Of Each Variant :-
| Variant | Price (ex-showroom) |
| Comfortline MT | 10,99,900 |
| Highline MT | 12,69,900 |
| Highline AT | 13,79,900 |
| Highline-Plus MT | 14,29,900 |
| Highline-Plus AT (8-speed) | 15,44,900 |
| GT Line | 14,59,900 |
| GT Line AT (8-speed) | 15,74,900 |
| Topline MT | 15,99,900 |
| Topline AT (8-speed) | 17,17,500 |
| GT Plus Chrome DSG | 18,99,900 |
| GT Plus Sport DSG | 19,29,900 |
Also, the main talking point about this mid-size SUV is that Volkswagen has introduced an assured buyback program for the new Taigun, offering 75% of the ex-showroom price as residual value for up to 3 years or 30,000 km (T&C apply). Valid on bookings till 31st May 2026, the program ensures peace of mind with benefits like strong resale value, exchange bonus, and an easy upgrade option.

Features and More

Finally, Volkswagen has added several much-demanded features to ensure the Taigun doesn't feel left out. The new additions include a panoramic sunroof, rear disc brakes on the top-spec GT Plus variants with the 1.5L TSI engine, a new and improved 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an AI voice assistant in the infotainment system, and improved AC performance with the mechanical change of a variable geometry compressor.

Also, the exterior looks richer with the addition of connected LED DRLs and an illuminated Volkswagen logo on both ends. Plus, the new Avocado Pearl and Steel Grey paint elevate the Taigun's handsomeness.

Verdict
The VW Taigun facelift looks rich and well-equipped for its target audience. Still, the biggest reason to buy one is the driving factor - as even with all the new additions, it still doesnt have a 360-degree parking camera, ADAS, dual-zone AC, or even an electronic parking brake. Surprisingly, its cousin - the Skoda Kushaq - offers segment-first rear massaging seats, which are not present here, making us wonder why VW chose to differentiate it from its sibling in this way.
