Recently, BYD unveiled their upcoming electric car, Atto 3 in the Indian market. It targets the buyers of MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV. It is loaded with features up to the brim, provides fast charging capability, a good driving range and other things. The price of the BYD Atto 3 is not yet out, however, the carmaker has said that the early adopters of this car will get several promotional offers. BYD will provide three years of unlimited 4G data for the navigation system, roadside assistance for a total of 6 years, free maintenance for six years (except for the labour cost), a portable 3kW charging box to power appliances and even smaller EVs (e-bikes, e-scooters etc) and more.
Furthermore, BYD will also set up the 7kW home wall box charger for free which will charge the Atto 3. It takes about 9.5 hours to 10 hours to fully juice up the battery with this charger. Overall, the promotional benefits are surely a bonanza for those looking to buy a premium alternative to MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV.
BYD Atto 3 is powered by a 60.48 kWh blade battery that churns out 201 bhp of power with a peak torque of 310 Nm. Performance-wise, the Atto 3 performs 0 to 100 kmph sprint in just 7.3 seconds which is quite impressive. The driving range for the same sticks to 521 km.
This electric car gets a standard warranty of six years/1.5 lakh km, whichever is at the earliest while the battery warranty sticks to 8 years/1.60 lakh km. For the e-motor and controller, the warranty sticks to 8 years/1.5 lakh km.
Surprisingly, the standard warranty of the BYD Atto 3 does not cover parts like the infotainment system, headlights, TPMS, charging port compatibilities, taillights, suspension and more. For these, there's another warranty that is valid for three years or 1.25 lakh km whichever is at the earliest.
Feature-wise, BYD is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, power folding ORVMs, wireless charging, keyless entry and more.
