Skoda Slavia is one of the most anticipated cars of 2022 and recently, Zac Hollis mentioned in a tweet that the 1.0L Slavia will be launched on February 28 while the 1.5L one will be out on March 3. The test drives and deliveries of the Skoda Slavia will start with the respective launch dates.
Skoda Slavia will be made available in two engine options - 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI. The smaller 1.0L turbo petrol produces 114 bhp with 178 Nm of peak torque while the bigger, 1.5L TSI unit churns out 148 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque. Both these engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and for the automatic, 1.0L gets paired with a 6-speed torque converter while the 1.5L gets a 7-speed DSG.
On the inside, Slavia will host loads of modern features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a fully digital instrument console, two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, single-pane sunroof, ambient lighting, cruise control and more.

Safety equipment on the Skoda Slavia includes six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, high-speed alert system, hill hold assist, speed sensing auto door lock, front seat belt reminder, rear parking camera, reverse parking sensors, electronic differential system and more.
This will be the third product from the Skoda-VW group to be based on the MQB AO IN platform and will be a 95% localised product. The Czech carmaker wants to re-energise the mid-size sedan segment with the Slavia and conquer with the already popular models like Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Ciaz.
