Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV Listed On Official Website; Launching Soon?

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is listed on the official Indian website. The official listing indicates that the launch is around the corner for the new Hyundai EV.

The upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV has been listed on the official website of the company in India. The listing indicates that the company is readying to launch the car in the market in the upcoming weeks. The launch is hence anticipated shortly.

Hyundai has already cleared its plans to introduce a total of six electric cars in the Indian market by 2028. This is to take place under the new expansion plan for Hyundai. The company is developing the new EVs over the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The Ioniq 5 EV is deemed to become the first electric car based on this platform to launch in India.

Speaking of the new upcoming Ioniq 5, it is an international model. Hyundai sells the latest iteration of the Ioniq in global markets where it performs well in sales numbers. As the Indian EV market is growing rapidly, Hyundai wants to ensure its place among the top EV players in India. The car has already started arriving at the dealerships in India.

Ioniq 5 is a futuristically designed car with an outlook of a proper premium EV. The smart use of design and body lines provides the Ioniq with a sharp and aggressive outlook. The dimensions of the Ioniq 5 are also big enough to put the C-SUVs at shame when compared side-by-side.

The major discussion point shall remain the ultra-futuristic interior design and looks. While the Ioniq 5 is very well equipped with some segment-first features as well; the interior design is nothing short of a masterpiece. The wide and plain dashboard comprises of straight-line design. An ultra-wide infotainment screen embeds the all-digital instrument cluster as well. This wide combination of screens makes the interiors look class apart. There is also ample space inside the car as the space management done is also fantastic to keep the occupants in comfort. The clever use of design language has helped Ioniq 5 to become among the best-selling EVs globally.

Hyundai offers the Ioniq 5 with options of a 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh battery pack options globally. These options come equipped with a rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel-drive options respectively. There is no information till now about which battery pack and the electric motor combination will make it to the launch in India. The maximum driving range claimed for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 internationally is 481 km which is outstanding for the segment standards.

Hyundai will bring the Ioniq 5 through the CKD route in India. Currently, Hyundai Kona EV is the only electric car from the Korean car manufacturer in India. Hyundai also plans to update the Kona with a new generation soon in India. We expect the Hyundai to launch the Ioniq 5 with a price tag of around Rs 40-50 lakhs ex-showroom.
