India's First Heavily Modified Toyota Hilux 4x4 Trucks

What you see here are the first two examples of heavily modified Toyota Hilux 4x4 pick-up trucks. Done up by Bimbra 4x4, both the grey options you see here get more than a dozen changes and upgrades. Both the trucks are 4x4 automatic versions and the one of these was featured in our exclusive video a few weeks back

Bimbra 4x4 is your one-stop solution to everything around off-road and 4x4s. They specialise in providing custom options for vehicles like the Isuzu V-Cross, Mahindra Thar and other lifestyle vehicles. The 'taller', lifted Hilux you see here belongs to them and will be the base for more custom projects going forward

What sets this Hilux apart is the inclusion of a 2-inch lift kit from Profender. This kit includes upper control arms, front coil springs, adjustable gas shocks and extra leaf springs. There are four settings to change the damping factor and this can be done manually yourself. Other add-ons include

Front :

• Hamer King series front bumper. This is winch and front sensors compatible and includes LED fog lights, indicators & DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).
• 8T Heavy Duty Shackles on front bumper - 4pcs in all.
• De-Chrome of front grill and side mirrors

• BFGoodrich KO2 Tyres. Size is 285/60 R18
• Hamer Shadow side steps.

Rear :

• Hamer Warrior roll bar. This includes LED brake light and 2 deck LED lights.
• Aeroklas Gravity U-Box. This is lockable and has a 245L capacity.
• Hamer Mx 204 rear bumper. Includes reverse LED lights. It is compatible with reverse sensors and tow hook.
• Hamer Tow Ball.
• Line-X Overlip Bedliner.
• Tail Gate Spoiler

This Hilux also gets Hamer's Full Underbody Protection. Along with the the higher ground clearance, this added protection will be super useful off the road while venturing out into unknown trails, dry river beds or extremely rocky terrain.

The second Hilux also gets a lot of changes and modifications on similar lines. The suspension set-up remains stock but other custom items remain. These include:

Front :

• Hamer king series plus front bumper. It is winch and front sensors compatible and includes LED fog lights, indicators & DRLs (daytime running lights.)
• 8T Heavy Duty Shackles on front bumper (4 pcs)
• Hamer front skid plate.
• De-Chrome of front grill and side mirrors
• Additional bull bar covering the headlights and grille.

Side:

• Hamer SM102 side steps
• Fuel 18" Alloy wheels.
• BFGoodrich KO2 Tyres. Size is 265/60 R18

Rear :

• Hamer Automatic roller shutter. Includes deck LED light.
• Hamer Titanium roll bar. Includes LED brake light.
• Hamer MX 201 rear bumper. Compatible with reverse sensors and tow hook.
• Tow Ball.
• Line-X Underlip Bedliner
• Rack for additional luggage with load capacity of 100kgs

The interiors of both these modified Toyota Hilux trucks remains stock. No changes here and this isn't a surprise as the cabin is premium and feature loaded in the first place. For most, this is a Toyota Fortuner without a 3rd row but with an additional open deck.
