Jeep Meridian Facelift Spied Testing: ADAS Confirmed!

This isn't the first time that the upcoming Jeep Meridian facelift test mule has been spied. We now have a fair idea on what are the probable inclusions going to be. Outside, anticipate updates to the grille and front bumper, possibly featuring a silver accent. Look for potential alterations to the headlight configuration, incorporating daytime running lights (DRLs).

Notably, the test model showcased a radar nestled within the front bumper, suggesting the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Additionally, there might be fresh alloy wheel designs, a revamped arrangement for the taillights, and adjustments to the rear bumper. Do not expect a major change in aesthetics, although it will be enough to adopt a fresh feel while retaining its quick association with the Meridian legacy.

Interior And Features

The current model of the Meridian facelift is pretty loaded and is not expected to incorporate major changes. You can expect a new seat upholstery and a refreshed cabin theme and that's about it. However, a few additions like a front and rear dashcam, air purifier, and rear window blinds from the Night Eagle edition could be offered here to turn up the convenience factor. You already get a plethora of modern features like the panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a wireless charger, and ambient lighting will still be offered. Meanwhile, expect a bigger-sized infotainment screen with this new update.

Jeep Meridian Facelift Powertrain: Retaining The Mechanics

The anticipated Meridian facelift is likely to maintain its reliable powertrain. Expect the continuation of the familiar 2.0-liter diesel engine, delivering 170PS of power and a peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Meridian will also continue offering the 4WD option, which will be available on select automatic variants.

The current model is priced between Rs. 33.60 lakhs and 39.66 lakhs ex-showroom. However, with the inclusion of new features and visual enhancements, expect the facelifted version to come with a slight premium over these figures. It will maintain its competition against other prominent SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and others.
