What's New In The X?
According to the sources, the upcoming version is expected to be tagged around Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 12,000 dearer than the outgoing model. With this upgrade, KTM has given Adventure X a major tech infusion. That's an area where it falls short for many buyers, despite being significantly affordable than its sibling. Meanwhile, the update is expected to borrow the full electronics suite from the 390 Adventure. It includes Cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control and Cruise control. Not just this, you also get three riding modes: Road, Rain and Off-road for better throttle response.
What Remains the Same?
Importantly, the motorcycle remains the same on the mechanical front, powered by a 390cc, single-cylinder engine. This unit belts out 44 bhp and 39 Nm of torque. While it comes mated with a 6-speed gearbox along with a bi-directional quickshifter. Meanwhile, this ADV still rides on 19-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear. The undulations are handled by USD forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear end. With this update, KTM hopes to strike a balance between pricing and premium feel.
