Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in Australia has received a mild facelift that, for the first time ever, brings mild-hybrid technology to this full-size luxury SUV, along with minor styling tweaks that improve the sporty aesthetic of the LC. To elaborate, this particular version gets the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor generator in a parallel hybrid setup, and together they produce 457 hp and 790 Nm of torque. In a nutshell, this is the most powerful Land Cruiser 300 has ever been. 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300
We first heard about this powertrain last year, when Lexus announced the new and upcoming top variant - LX 700h, featuring this 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with electric motor - making 457 hp and 790 Nm of torque. So, this engine now enters the popular Land Cruiser 300 trim too. Along with this, there are several design changes, such as a new front bumper with a larger air intake, which makes the front end even bigger on this already giant car. To add more, it also gets an HEV badge.

Talking about interior changes - the biggest one is the advent of a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a new-age digital driver's display. On top of that, it gets a 1500-watt power outlet in the boot area. Apart from this, no other changes have been mentioned in this updated model. Also, no changes have been made to the GR Sport trim. Currently, it has been unveiled in Australia and will launch there soon. After that, other international markets will receive it, and we think the India launch will happen sometime in late 2026.

The rest of the car is the same as before - built on the TNGA-F platform, with a length of 498.5 cm, width of 198 cm, height of 195.5 cm, and a wheelbase of 285 cm. Ground clearance is 230 mm, and the fuel tank capacity of this beast is 80 litres. This is the go-to choice of heads of state, top politicians, and CEOs.

Verdict
This is the most reliable piece of luxury automotive which can run for 50 plus years without even breaking a sweat. Now, it has become even more powerful after getting an external assistance. As mild hybrid has become a common norm, we believe this car will come to India - maybe in late 2026, as recently they launched the LC GR Sport. Also, in India, we don't even have the LX 700h yet, so that is also a big question - whether these cars are bound for India or not? Let's wait for some further clarifications.
