The Scorpio N clearly trumps the Safari in terms of the wide variety of engine and gearbox options it provides. Not only do the mStallion and mHawk provide superior performance, but they also appeal to a wider set of people. Especially those living in Delhi-NCR where petrol cars have a wider acceptance. Also, the optional 4x4 hardware on the diesel models is like the cherry on the cake for hardcore enthusiasts.

On the other hand, the Safari gets only a single-engine unit sourced from FCA (now Stellantis) that produces 170 PS and 350 Nm. There is no AWD option available. However both manual and automatic options are available

Pricing

As of now, prices for only the manual 4x2 variants of the Scorpio N diesel have been revealed along with prices of the petrol Manual variants. These range from Rs 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) to 19.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) which undercut the Safari as of now. However, the prices of the 4x4 and AT variants of the Scorpio N are yet to be revealed.
