Maruti Suzuki is working on the new model of the Brezza (internally codenamed as YTA) and is expected to launch the car in India in mid-2022. The car was recently spied testing on the roads and will feature an updated front fascia and a new and better cabin. For starters, the new Maruti Brezza will feature a new front fascia that will be largely dominated by new LED headlights, a stylish front grille, and a new bumper. The car is expected to feature a faux skid plate upfront and will continue to feature a boxy exterior design. Just like the front, the rear design too will feature a number of updates that include a new LED taillight design and an updated rear bumper. Just like the front, the rear too is expected to feature a faux skid plate. The tailgate too has been restyled and the number plate will be placed lower down when compared to the present model. The alloy wheels too are expected to be replaced with stylish dual-tone alloy wheels that will help improve the stance of the car.

The interiors of the Brezza will now look much better and will feature an updated dashboard layout. The car will also get an updated features list while a sunroof too is expected to be on offer with the car. A large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sits in the centre of the dashboard while other features like a wireless charger, paddle shifters, and a sim-based connectivity suite are expected to be offered with the new Brezza. The build quality of the cabin too is expected to get better when compared to the present iterations of the car. Other changes include a new instrument console, a new steering wheel unit, etc.
Powering the new Brezza will be an updated 1.5-L petrol engine that will boast improved fuel economy figures. Just like the present model, the upcoming Brezza too will get a mild-hybrid tech. The peak power and torque output from this motor stand at 105hp and 138Nm. The price of the car is expected to start from INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and once launched, the Brezza will take on the rivals like the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the Hyundai Venue.
