New MG Hector Plus Select Variant Launched; See What New Does It Get - Details

Just a few days ago, MG Motor India launched the new refreshed 2021 MG Hector Facelift and the all-new Hector Plus seven-seater SUV in India. Now, the company has launched a new variant of the seven-seater version of the Hector Plus and it is known as Hector Plus 'Select'. The new Select variant of the 2021 MG Hector Plus seven-seater SUV has been launched in India today and it has been priced at Rs. 18.33 lakhs. The new Select variant is now the range-topping variant of the Hector Plus seven-seater SUV and it sits above the Smart variant in the Hector Plus seven-seater version's line-up. The new MG Hector Plus seven-seater SUV is available in four variants with prices starting at Rs. 13.35 lakhs. All the prices stick to Ex-showroom pan-India.

Before we begin with anything else, let's have a closer look at the new 2021 MG Hector Plus seven-seater SUV's Select variant to know what all goodies will it offer. The major additional features that the new MG Hector Plus Select variant will offer you over the Smart trim are mentioned below:

• A massive panoramic sunroof
• A large 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system
• Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity
• i-Smart 2.0 connected car features with 35 Hinglish voice commands
• New 18-inch alloy wheels
• 360-degree parking camera for an all-round view
• Electrically powered tailgate for enhanced comfort
• 6 airbags for added safety
• New Heated ORVMs
• Automatic headlamps with auto wipers
• Ventilated front seats
• Ambient lighting
• The wireless phone charging pad
• Auto-dimming IRVM (inside rear-view mirror)

So, these were the major add-on features in the new range-topping Select variant of the new 2021 MG Hector Plus seven-seater SUV. Now, as you all know this is the newly launched seven-seater version of the MG Hector Plus and so it gets a bench seat in the middle row. However, the older six-seater version of the MG Hector Plus is also on sale alongside and it gets premium captain seats in the middle row which are very comfortable. Now, if we talk about the mechanicals of the SUV, so it doesn't get any mechanical changes. The new Hector Plus continues to be powered by the same BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This oil-burner comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only.

The MG Hector Plus also gets a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 143 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 250 Nm of peak torque between 1600-3600 RPM. This petrol mill is available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system too. The non-hybrid petrol motor comes paired to a six-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) in the six-seater version of the SUV while the petrol hybrid comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox only. However, the buyers of the seven-seater MG Hector Plus petrol don't get to choose a DCT and it comes mated to a manual gearbox only. Also, as already mentioned before, the new Select variant of the Hector Plus seven-seater is priced at Rs. 18.33 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom pan-India.
