Merely days after the next-generation Ford Endeavour leaked over cyberspace, its carmaker has published a teaser video that gives us a good look at the SUV, albeit, in a highly camouflaged state. The new Endeavour, which is known as the Everest in the international markets, has been seen gliding over mud and slush in the recently released video. While the sheet metal of the new SUV remains concealed, its clear that it wont be anything like what weve seen on the model that used to be on sale here until Ford India ceased its local retail operations. On the contrary, the SUV has taken truckloads of inspiration from the fourth-gen Ford Raptor, especially when it comes to the front fa硤e.
This has clearly resulted into a bolder and more muscular front fascia that will remind you of the Raptor as well as the F-150. The hood is flatter than before while the round edges are conspicuous by their absence. The conventional headlights seen on the outgoing model have made way for C-shaped LED units while the grille has got larger and is clearly a lot bolder. In the side profile, you can see that the SUV has got a tad larger while boasting a boxier silhouette. Unlike the present generation, the roofline is straighter, which is sure to free up headroom in the last row. The rear-end features L-shaped LED taillights and the bumper seems to be a beefier unit than that of the current model.
The new video doesnt give us a look at the cabin but a lot of things could be similar to the Raptor. The dashboard will likely feature an XL-size vertical touchscreen while there could be an abundance of piano black trim. Powering the next-generation Ford Endeavour will be the 2.0-litre Twin-turbo EcoBlue oil-burner that will come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, there could be an option of a 3.0-litre V6 motor. More details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
