Renault Boreal

Renault Boreal - the 7 seater Duster is expected to launch in India by 2026, post the Duster launch, and in April, the officials at Renault confirmed that it will be called Boreal for South Asian markets. Moreover, this SUV has been tested by the pinnacle of safety standards, the Euro NCAP, and the result shows that it is a decently safe SUV and will protect people inside up to a certain limit. If the intensity rises, then it won't really help.

In the Adult Occupant Protection report - Boreal scored 69%, and that's above above-average result. During a frontal impact, it scored 10.9 out of 16 points, in lateral impact - 12.0/16, and 3.6/4 for the rear impact. That's a total of 27.7 Pts.

Talking about the child occupant test - Boreal shines like a diamond - as it scored 85% on the test, and this crash test performance is based on 6 & 10-year-old children. In the safety assist, this SUV scored 10.3 points, with its AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system and seatbelt reminder performing well. Also, it doesn't feature a rear seat occupant detection system. Lastly, the Boreal misses on knee airbag, side pelvis airbag, center airbag, AEB pedestrian - reverse, cyclist dooring prevention, and active bonnet.

Renault Boreal will follow the Duster, and their launch is expected to happen in 2026.
